More details and images of the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake have followed on from the recent teaser video that was released last week.
The details confirm the car’s impressive powertrain, which, as expected, consists of the 386kW/700Nm 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 and seven-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, and also reveals the effect the optional AMG Performance Pack on the luxury performance wagon: an extra 24kW/100Nm for a total output of 410kW and 800Nm.

These figures ensure legitimate performance stats of 0-100km/h in 4.4 and 4.3 seconds respectively, while top speed remains electronically limited for both versions to 250km/h.
On the practical side, fuel consumption is rated at 10.1 litres per 100km, CO2 at 235 grams per kilometre and total luggage space provided sits at a healthy 1550 litres.

To help bring things to a stop, CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake owners can tick the option for the high-performance AMG ceramic composite braking system that includes bigger discs and specially painted brake callipers to sit under the 19-inch light-alloy wheels.
Inside the luxury tag is confirmed with nappa leather AMG sports seats, an AMG Performance steering wheel wrapped in nappa leather with flattened top and bottom and optional wooden luggage compartment floor with aluminium rails.

Expect the wagon-esque Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG Shooting Brake to command a price premium over the standard Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG – currently a $263,500 proposition – when it reaches showrooms in Australia sometime after the rest of the Shooting Brake range arrives towards the end of 2012.
